Plans and experiences to enjoy Christmas in the city
The Fira de Santa Llúcia is the oldest Christmas market in Barcelona, held since 1786 in the iconic Gothic Quarter, in front of the Cathedral. With more than 300 stalls, it offers a wide variety of products: from handmade nativity scenes and traditional figures like the "caganer", to Christmas trees, moss, and handmade decorations. It is the ideal place to immerse oneself in the authentic Catalan Christmas spirit.
Immerse yourself in the magic of Christmas by the Mediterranean with Nadal al Port Vell, the Christmas fair that transforms Moll de la Fusta into a festive tale. From late November until January 6, you will find a captivating mix of attractions: a 65m giant ferris wheel, an expanded ecological ice rink, the spectacular light show at Torre Jaume I, and a new 40m attraction, "The Limit."
During Christmas, the whole city is filled with lights that are a spectacle in themselves but, in addition, some spaces such as the iconic Modernist Site of Sant Pau, are transformed into a universe of light, color, and tradition. In the evenings, explore over twenty light installations that celebrate Christmas "around the world" through videomappings, interactive light tunnels, a 16-meter Christmas tree, and a journey marked by a unique soundtrack.
